The WHES PC-G2 250kW/509kWh is a premium, containerized energy storage system engineered for the demanding requirements of commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. Built with a modular AC/DC architecture, the system offers exceptional adaptability. It supports flexible energy durations of 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours, allowing it to be precisely configured for specific site needs, from daily peak shaving to longer-duration load management. Scalability is a key strength, as up to six units can operate in parallel, delivering a total capacity of 1.5 MW / 3 MWh for larger facilities or growing energy demands.
Performance and safety are assured through its certified, high-quality components. The system utilizes CATL 306Ah long-cycle battery packs, certified to the stringent UL9540A safety standard. It is also VDE 4110 certified, confirming its compliance and readiness for connection to European medium-voltage grids. This certification foundation supports a wide range of applications, including peak shaving, fast frequency response (FFR), and dynamic expansion projects.
The PC-G2 prioritizes safety and reliability with a robust, multi-layered protection strategy. It features comprehensive environmental protection ratings (IP67 battery pack, IP55 cabinet, IP65 PCS) and a 3-layer fire protection system encompassing detection, suppression, and isolation. For operators, it is designed to be user-friendly, incorporating a patent wall-mounted liquid cooling system with automatic fluid refill to minimize maintenance, while operating at a low noise level of under 65 dB, making it suitable for installation near occupied spaces.
